A New Tanya class By Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz Tanya Igeret Hakodesh Chapter 11 “LIFE IS AMAZING” The Alter Rebbe begins by quoting 2 words of a Prophecy from the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Daniel ״להשכילך בינה״ “to teach you understanding” it’s said in singular as its high level to attain however it’s in Tanya as we can all reach this level. If we want the Light of Hashem to dwell upon us we can Not Want A Materialistic Life, Children or Sustenance for its Own personal sake rather we should want them for G-Ds sake we should focus on Ratzon Hashem as it says in ethics of the fathers “Against your will your alive” The test to see if it’s about you or about Hashem is what happens when your lacking the basics how do you feel? How can we achieve this level of joy & freedom ? We achieve this by having faith that G-D creates & maintains the world every second. Then we meditate on this with our Binah & than we imagine with our Das this will lead us to the experience that G-D the source of life who is good & full of pleasure & the highest levels of עדן higher than the world to come than there is no room for bad or pain or suffering as it’s all good. The pitfall is when we use are limited Binah & something’s don’t make sense & we start imagining with Das so we create these negative images of bad, pain & suffering. The Reality is that the Truth is there is NO bad from Hashem it’s ALL good just at times we don’t comprehend the Greatness & the abundance of the Good as down here it has not been revealed as the story with Nachum Ish Gamzu with the sand that the sand was actually the greatest blessing even though it was not revealed at the moment. We need to strengthen our Emunah that Hashem is everywhere & put ourselves in front of Hashem this will turn anything negative into positive & life & this will give us strength & joy. So the Alter Rebbe teaches us that first a person should always Be Happy & Celebrate every moment with the faith that Hashem is giving us life & goodness every moment. If one is sad or is complaining that you have bad or suffering it’s a denying G-Ds existence hence there is no room for sadness in the world of Kabbalah. The person of faith there is not be concerned with any pain as in anything physical yes & no should be the same. What will hold you back from this realization is self love. Our test in this world is weather we are looking to follow Hashem or the Kelipot. The goal is to live our lives that מה׳ מצעדי גבר than we will be able to experience that “Life is Amazing” even though at times we can’t comprehend that.
