Tanya By Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz Sec 3 Chap. 7 - Tesuvah that will last forever.

A New Tanya class By Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz Tanya Igeret Hatshuva Chapter 7 Tesuvah that will last forever. The Alter Rebbe taught us until now. 1. That basic Teshuva is resolving not to Sin anymore. 2. That Teshuva is returning the ה that sunk into the Kelipot back to its source. In Chapter 7 the Alter Rebbe teaches us that in order for the Teshuva to last (שפת אמת תכון לעד) & that it should pure (ישר) one has to prepare one self for Teshuva. The way to prepare oneself: 1) To awaken deep compassion on the Neshama that is from the infinite name of Hashem that descend so low as the Kelipot & Sitra Achra for example when we have negative thoughts the Shechina is sitting in those limiting thoughts. The time for the meditation is at Tikun Chatzot until one feels the descent of the Shechina & one because bitter over this. 2) since one that sins & even a beinoni is ones animal soul & it has no intrinsic value so the way to humble the arrogance is by being a לב נשבר ונדכא to לבטש ולהכניע the animal soul. How does one come to לב נשבר ונדכא? 1) is the Fasting as king David did. 2) to be a מארי דחושבנא make a honest accounting as a “Owner” does. The Owner does not look for excuses. He needs to make sure the business succeeds. Same we need to make sure the Shechina is not in Galus. And that he sunk so low that he does not have the clarity to praise Hashem as the Pasuk says לא המתים יהללו ה׳. Even when one has not transgressed any big sins however many small sins creates the same disconnect. Certain sins are on the same level as big sins. Not giving charity is like idolatry. As the verse says השמר לך פן יהיה עם לבבך בליעל. Lashon Hara speaking derogatory is like all 3 גילוי עריות, שפיכת דמים & עבודה זרה Arrogance Even the punishment is not the same however the disconnect is the same. Bitul Torah is the greatest disconnect as the Talmud tells us that Hashem can overlook any sin but not Bitul Torah. As such one at Shema at night should accept upon himself the 4 death penalties of סקילה, שריפה, הרג וחנק as with the disconnect of each letter of Hashem Name one earns one of the 4 death penalties. If you miss Shema: affects the Yud / Sekilah If you miss Teffilin. Affects the Hey / Seraifa If you miss Tzizit. Affects Vov / Hereg If you miss Prayer. Affects the Hey / Chenek If you miss Torah. Affects them all. When one meditates on this one will achieve to be a לב נשבר that will allow to do true Teshuva. Remorse for the past & acceptance & committed for good for the future.
