Tanya By Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz Chapter 28 How to be Happy & not be distracted with negative thoughts. If your having bad thoughts ignore them. Do not try to elevate them. Be extra happy as your being attacked do to your success. One should not think that the negative & inappropriate thoughts is because your not praying or studying well. On the contrary the reason why you are having strange thoughts during study & prayer is because your doing great & the kelipah is trying to distract you. If all else fails reach out to G-D for help to get rid of the distractions. When you reach out to G-D he will help you as a father has compassion for his children as the source of every child is in his fathers (Hashems) brain.
